After purchasing and appreciating the Kalahari bikini in dark copper, I was hoping to add the matching bra. However, my usual Cosabella size in a 5-hook-and-eye bralette (XS) was sold out, so I sent an email to Cosabella's Customer Care consultants to ask if a size S would fit. With an affirmative answer, I ordered it. Sad news. While the bra is visually gorgeous and exceptionally well made - with the tiniest embroidery stitching I've ever seen - the top half of the cups are too large for me and gap, while the underarm area of the bra comes up into my armpit, ending with a fairly rough edge of 1/4" elastic. This was noticeable and irritating as soon as I tried on the bra.
I contacted Customer Care, and they followed up with a garment return label and instructions for completing the return request on their website. Since the bra was on sale, they don't do refunds, but rather will exchange it or issue a merchandise credit.
Before returning it, I made some measurements for size S so that other interested purchasers might have a better idea of the bra measurements. The hook and eyes allow for 23 1/2", 24", and 24 1/2" band closings, with some additional elasticity in the band itself. The band is 3 3/4" high in the back, 5" high at the center of the chest, and 6" high at the sides (underarms) where the wire ends. The cup measures about 10" across, and the underwire arc measures 11 1/2". When comparing the Kalahari with the Pret a Porter bralette in size XS, the Kalahari has an extra 1 1/2" of fabric rising up into the armpit, and the band is 4" longer, though this is likely because the Pret a porter bralette has a much stretchier 3/4"elastic in its 2 1/2" band and no underwire. My own measurements: 28" band and 34" bust and 5'1". I usually wear a 32DD bra (size S in Never Say Never Curvy Sweetie and XS in Pret a Porter, NSN Racerbac, Long line, and Paradiso Curvy models.

Sometimes, different styles do fit your shape differently and you may have to size up or down, but we always recommend starting with your true size.
